I graduated from the National Bakery School with a distinction in 1995. On graduating, I worked as a Pastry Chef in London for various high end restaurants before moving to Epsom in 2004 to start a family.
From Epsom, I worked as a freelance Pastry Chef, making desserts and cakes on a corporate level for events such as Epsom Derby, Royal Ascot and The Grand National.
I have always made cakes as a side line for friends and family often being told I should turn my talent in to a business.
In 2012 I applied and got accepted to do a three month internship at Little Venice Cake Company working alongside the famous Mich Turner MBE.
Juggling the internship, working part time, setting up Cloud Nine Cake Company and being a mother to 3 young boys was hard work and challenging and I could not have done it without the help and support of my husband, friends and family.
The reward for all this hard graft was the creation of Cloud Nine Cake Company. Cloud Nine being the name I was called as a child for being a daydreamer.
Working together with Sarah, we have managed to get Cloud Nine Cake Company on the map, becoming the preferred supplier for Epsom Race Course and providing cakes for all occasions to various venues across Surrey.
I provide the business bits of Cloud Nine Cake Company, am a Mum to two and live in Surrey. I studied Fashion at Epsom Art College and have worked for over 10 years in PR in the publishing and hospitality and leisure industries. I lived for 5 years in Sydney, Australia working for a leading cinema chain and theatre. Part of my role there was to to assist in the organisation of World Film Premiers including A-list stars such as Sandra Bullock and to secure world renowned musical stars to perform at the State Theatre. My work experience provides me with strong organisational skills to assist clients in making the cake part of their big day run without a hitch and making them feel they are in safe hands.
